thought for the day

ken robinson takes months to approve my friend request on facebook. and then today i saw his tweet regarding something. which leads me to this, share your thought about it;

"In this world there is room for everyone and the earth is rich and can provide for everyone. The way of life can be free and beautiful. But we have lost the way…greed has poisoned men's souls" – Charlie Chaplin, "The Great Dictator"

You can't stop greed in other people but you can stop one in yourself. I think if people stop comparing to the success of others maybe we wont be so greedy.

Sometimes all we really want is some happiness but this thing that we want, can't be defined, can't be gathered and kept and it definitely can't be created on a whim.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder... I think that goes true for Happiness as well...

To some people they believe HAVING MORE will thus make them HAPPIER.
Until they find out (rather later), that they are wrong...

i am in the middle about the part where you mentioned success. at one point, i think people should always strive for self-fulfillment about what they want in life. be at ease with who you are and what you are. but on the other hand, if you don't compare yourself to others, how are you suppose to improve?

i think, we should always go back to the teachings of Qur'an when it comes to living life. and be careful to not go to the extreme in practicing it.

the world is a temporary, short but long, stop in the journey of our life.

About comparing to others, do you think anyone out there is worth comparing to?
I think if we really want to compare Rasulullah s.a.w would be the best example. Any others is just a waste of time don't you think?
Somemore if you compare. say, yourself to me for example, after you've beaten me then what?
I agree on the self-fulfillment part you mentioned.
When we know we've done the best, the rest is just a test.
